Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for Todoist. Todoist shows sub-tasks as flat rows in Today, Upcoming, Filter, Label and board views. Todowing nests them under their parent task, so you see the whole tree without opening each task.

You can check off, reopen, add, rename and reorder sub-tasks from the list. It also adds a focus timer, time estimates, a three-line notes pad above Today, read-only Apple Calendar events in Today, seven color palettes, a font picker with fifty Google Fonts, a text-size slider, and a way to file one task under a parent in another project.

It is for Todoist users who plan their day from date and filter views and want sub-tasks visible there. It works with any Todoist plan in the Todoist web app on Chrome. It does not work in the Todoist desktop app.

Pricing: the free version covers inline nesting, completing and collapsing sub-tasks, recurring resets, row details, all seven palettes and the text-size slider, with up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task. The lifetime unlock costs $19.99 once, with no subscription. It removes the row limit, adds editing from the row, focus sessions, time estimates, the font picker, the notes pad and Apple Calendar, and includes all future updates.

Privacy: your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never reach Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.
